An extremely gracious offer indeed!
I like to think of myself as a good friend of old "Mother Earth", and whenever I get the chance, I always put in a good word for her!  The February Race will be around Mt. Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania.  My reason for choosing this spot is the fact that "Mom" is changing, and it's not for the better.  The glacier atop Mt. Kilimanjaro, which has been there for as long as we humans can remember, is rapidly vanishing.  Now, I  realize that all things must age, and the Earth is one of them, but I think we're giving "Mom" gray hair faster than she deserves!

So......Besides being a beautiful setting for a great race, I may have brought the "Global Warming" issue to perhaps a few more of you, and one is better than none!  If you want to read a bit more on the great flying opportunities this region has to offer, CLICK HERE to read one of my "Farmboyzim's Fast Flight's" around Kilimanjaro.
OK, you're here for the facts about the race and not so much an ecology lesson, but my two-cents are in there, short and sweet anyway!  ;-)
This region is going to offer you, the virtual racer, lot's of opportunities for different tactics!  Here's the Race Flight Info...
Here's the course plotted out (above) and the Flight Plan (right).  REMINDER...Pay attention to your fuel quantity, as you don't want extra weight, and you also don't want to run out, and mind your cargo/passenger weight.  All of this can be adjusted in MSFS.  I'll post some more pointers in the forum as they come to me!
What About The "Loot"
I hope to see some new faces come race day!  Practice the course, read the tutorials, ask my help through email or the new ActiveChat, and let's have a great race day!!!

I wrote a couple of easy-to-follow tutorials on how to use the Flight Planning Utility within MSFS2004 and a tutorial on using the "Direct-To" Function of the Garmin GPS,  Both are easy to do, and makes the race not only more enjoyable, but may give you a bit of an extra "edge" over the competition!  CLICK HERE to read the GPS tutorial and CLICK HERE to read the Flight Planning tutorial.
