Flying Wing

Here's a Freeware add on that is one of a kind, just like the aircraft itself! The X-35 Flying Wing. The original "Stealth Bomber"! To read a bit of history about the actual aircraft, CLICK HERE.

This model is by Kazunori Ito back in 2003. The external modelling is really well done. This particular model bristle with guns. Control surfaces work and each engine is equipped with two counter-rotating propellors, which are rendered quite nicely also. The work that went into the external model is obvious. The 2D cockpt is of a lower quality, but still a rather authentic looking panel for the Wing. The basic gauges are included, such as Airspeed Indicator, Vert. Speed Indicator,Turn and Bank Coordinator, and theres a VOR gauge, but I was unable to find the radio stack! There is no Virtual Cockpit. It handles like a big old aircraft, but it definitely has some power and you are able to climb at a relatively high rate of speed. Sharp "aerobatic" moves are right out! I gave this aircraft add on a "4 plane rating" because of its uniqueness and its modelling. Every hanger should have one!
