This little beauty is brought to us by a team of developers; Aircraft  by Massimo Taccoli, Panel original works by Rolf-Uwe-Hockmuth, revised by Massimo Taccoli with new gauges, New Flight Dynamics By Dennis Seeley, Textures by Massimo Taccoli for Italian, Croatian example by Eric Turpin for Securitè Civile model, and Bob Tremblay for the Canadain example.  fs9cl415.zip file contains a Checklist pdf file by Werner Schott.  This version of the model has completely new revised animations which has solved problems  when using the model with FS2004.  The main difference from the fs2000/fs2002 version is that this version does not have a VC cockpit.  The 2D panel that is used is very nicely done and reflects an authentic look.  These guys have done a great job on this one!
This model was created using Flight Simulator Design Studio (FSDS v2.24), from Abacus Publications (www.abacuspub.com).  a new gauge is included in this version, expressely made by Andrea Cini, for loading and releasing simulated water. Dennis Seeley created the new FD files so that the main fuel tank can simulate the weight of water loaded.
The Bombardier Aerospace Bombardier 415 is the latest in a line of multi-role amphibious aircraft which began with the CL-215 in the 1960s. The Bombardier 415 amphibian is a high-wing, turboprop aircraft that evolved from over 30 years of experience with the CL-215 firefighting amphibious aircraft. It features a four-compartment, four-door water tank system that can hold 6137 litres (1621 US gallons) of water/foam mixture and refills its tanks by skimming the surface of any suitable body of water. The Bombardier 415, although externally similar to its predecessor, is quite a new machine. It features Pratt & Whitney Canada turboprops, an air-conditioned glass cockpit, and powered flight controls. Compared to the CL-215, it has increased operating weight and speed yielding improved productivity. Aircraft systems have been updated for easier maintainability.
In its firefighting configuration, the Bombardier 415 is ideal for Initial Attack on forest fires; getting to the fire at the earliest stages and repeatedly dropping large amounts of fire suppressing foam.

The Bombardier 415 amphibian is also well suited to other missions such as maritime surveillance, coastal patrol, search and rescue, utility transport and resource protection.

The Bombardier 415 production program was launched in October of 1991 and first flew in December 1993 with the first aircraft being delivered in November 1994.
This model has a great, unique look to it, and some very nice textures, along with some excellent detail on the exterior.  The effect of dropping water is pretty cool, though you have to be fast on the view option to see it happen from the external view.  Flight dynamics are pretty decent also, with some noticable difference when you carry a load of water in her belly!  this is a very nice amphibian to have tied to your dock!  Great job on a fantastic freeware guys!
