Here's some links to aircraft and scenery files, along with some charts, for the Fly-In event on Sunday, 4/30/06, from 1200 - 2000 UTC. There's some neat features in some of these scenery addons, of which all are FREE!!! This will be a different type of event, where you can, if you wish, load up "Dude" the plane spotter, and watch the aircraft come and go, or be one of those aircraft, coming and going! The Hamburg area of Germany is quite beautiful, nestled next to the Elbe River, just off the North Sea.
We will be using Teamspeak, and will be on FBZ 1, which requires no password, just connect. TeamSpeak info here.
This is OldFly's backyard, and I want to thank him for providing the information to make this a great get together over the skies of hamburg (or on the tarmac of EDHI !). See ya up in the wild blue!

EDHI Fly-In Information
I've been studying the charts, and trying to familiarize myself with the approaches and departures, but I again want to ask for your patience. This ATC gig is quite interesting, and quite different. The radio calls will be as close as possible, but our main concern is not having a couple of you heavies landing at the same time! I hope, with your help and patience, to become a bit more proficient in Air control! The more I learn about all the different facets of this animal called aviation, the more respect I have for those in the field of aviation!
If you want to fly into or out of the airport using SID's and STARS, feel free! ILS or VFR, whatever you wish! The more diverse this is, the more practice I'm going to get!
So, the bottom line is, don't yell at me if I make a mistake! Just kidding! I'll turn the volume down!
I am in no way of the same caliber as the folks at VATSIM or IVAO, so don't think that what I say is the standard operating procedure! Flying on these folks' servers is a great way to learn just what it's like to be "controlled"! I encourage you to check them out and join up! Flying on the Farmboyzim Server might just help to get your feet "wet" and perhaps not be apprehensive about the world of Multiplayer! There always has to be a first time and this is the place to do it! Fly, that is! ;-)
